21. Why haven’t rock armouring options of shorter lengths, and offset from the cliffs been considered?
6 different configurations of rock armour were included in the long list appraisal, including variations on length, offset from the cliffs and in combination with cliff top drainage/netting. The advisory group were in agreement that none of the rock revetment options should proceed to the next stage for both technical, and environmental reasons.
