Background to this new service

Earlier in 2016, East Devon District Council, Exeter City Council, Mid Devon District Council and Teignbridge District Council pooled their resources to provide a Business Advice and Support service, under the brand name of Business Boost, covering all four Local Authority areas.

With effect from 1 April 2016, East Devon District Council engaged BIP (Business Information Point Ltd) with their business partners Cosmic to deliver Business Advice and Support across East Devon.

BIP will be putting together an annual programme of workshops, with digital workshops run by Cosmic who have solid experience in this area. Do take advantage of these free workshops as they could make a real difference to the success of your business.

All workshops will be advertised on the Business Boost website and you can also find details on BIP's website and via Twitter @EDevon4Business .

Connecting Devon and Somerset  was set up to deliver next generation broadband infrastructure to areas where the market has failed to invest. They aim to bring superfast broadband to 90 per cent of premises in the area covered by the programme. This means that most residents and businesses in Devon and Somerset will have broadband speeds of over 24Mbps by the end of 2016.

Devonomics allows you to access a range of charts and tables on topics relevant to the Devon economy. You can also view documents on people, place and prosperity which will form the evidence base for Devon's Economic Assessment.

Netregs provides you with plain English guidance on environmental regulation issues.
