We are currently in the process of consulting on our regulations for the management and control of cemeteries.

We have produced new draft cemetery regulations and we would be very grateful for any comments and feedback that you have about this.   

If you would like to get involved and have your say on our draft regulations you'll need to fill in a consultation response form and send this to us by email or by post.   

The consultation period runs from 01 August 2017 to 18 September 2017.  Please return your comments by 5pm on Monday 18 September 2017 at the latest.  Any comments received after this time will not be considered.

It would help us if you could please refer to the paragraph number of the regulations when you complete the response form.  You must include your name, address and contact details.  If you are responding on behalf of an organisation, please give the name of the organisation and a brief description of who the organisation represents.  If you are responding on behalf of a company, please give the company name.  Anonymous or blank responses will not be accepted. 

What about confidentiality?

Please be aware that your response will be made public and published in a summary of responses.  Your name will also be published unless you state clearly that you wish your name to be treated confidentially.  If you are replying by email or via the website, unless you specifically include a request to the contrary in the main text of your submission to us, we will assume that your consent overrides any confidentially disclaimer that is generated by your organisation's IT system.  The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires public authorities to disclose information they hold if this is requested.  This includes information contained in responses to consultations.  If you ask for your name to be confidential this will only be possible if it is consistent with the council's obligations under the Freedom of Information Act.
