Currently motorhomes are allowed in any of our off street car parks between 8am to 10pm but not overnight.

Devon County Council are proposing to ban motorhome parking on some sections of Exmouth seafront and prohibit them from overnight parking on other sections. If their proposal is approved they will amend their Traffic Regulation Order. Subject to these consultations, we in turn would then amend our Parking Places Order and trial overnight parking for motorhomes in three Exmouth car parks. If Devon County Council do not ban / prohibit motorhome parking on the seafront we wouldn't continue with this proposal.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED VARIATION OF ORDER

EAST DEVON DISTRICT COUNCIL (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) AMENDMENT ORDER NO. 1 2018

 Notice is hereby given that East Devon District Council in exercise of its powers under Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) as further regulated by the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers intends to vary the East Devon District Council (Civil Enforcement Off-Street Parking Places) Order2008 (as amended) (“the 2008 Order”) which will have the effect of allowing Motor Caravans to park in the following long stay car parks located within Exmouth, Devon:

  1. Imperial Road Recreation Ground;
  2. Maer Road; and
  3. Queens Drive Echelon.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of this proposed amendment Order are available for inspection during office hours at Reception, East Devon District Council, Council Offices, Knowle, Sidmouth, Devon, EX10 8HL.

Objections (and other representations) in connection with the proposed amendment Order should be made in writing specifying the grounds for objection to Legal Services, East Devon District Council, Council Offices, Knowle, Sidmouth, Devon, EX10 8HL, quoting ref: CAR.2-0065, by no later than 6 April 2018.
