10. Awareness and accessibility

The Council recognises that the effectiveness of its Anti-Fraud, Theft and Corruption Policy and its general credibility will depend largely on the effectiveness of programmed training and responsiveness of staff throughout the organisation. To facilitate this, the Council supports training for Members and particularly for staff involved in internal control systems to ensure that their responsibilities and duties in this respect are regularly highlighted and reinforced.

In addition, the Monitoring Officer will maintain a record of reports of suspected fraud and corruption and report to Strategic Management Team on a regular basis so that they are aware of issues.
