Where individuals are promoted to a higher grade, the salary level should be pitched at the bottom of the new grade.
If the individual is promoted between 1 April and 30 September, this employee would not receive an increment increase until the following April. If the individual is promoted between 1 October and 31 March, this employee will receive an increment rise after six months and thereafter April.
