In addition to paying by Direct Debit and online, you can also make payments by:

Telephone

Call our automated payment line on 08447 369631* at anytime and follow the prompts. You will need the Council Tax account number and a debit or credit card.

At your bank

Pay at your own bank or any branch of Lloyds Bank PLC using a giro slip. Our bank details are below.

Standing order

Ask your bank to set up a standing order. Our bank details are:

Please remember that unlike a Direct Debit that carries on from year to year, you have to set up a standing order each year in order to pay the new instalment amounts.

Post Office

Pay by cash or cheque using the barcode on the front of your bill at any Post Office. If you are paying by cheque make it payable to Post Office Ltd and write your Council Tax account number on the back. 

Always ask for a receipt.

Payzone

Use the barcode on the front of your bill at any Payzone outlet. Some Payzone outlets may only accept cash.

Post

Send your cheque or postal order direct to us and make it payable to East Devon District Council. Always write your Council Tax account number and address on the back and send it to:

Please do not send cash through the post.

For all credit cards and some pre-paid cards: a 1.5 per cent fee of the amount payable will be added at the payment stage.
