James is responsible for leading the site team, who deliver practical habitat management and species monitoring on all of the District Council’s nature reserves.

With a particular focus on delivering the Seaton Wetlands nature reserve project, James describes this role as his “Dream Job”!

Having spent eight years heading up the Countryside Service’s education and engagement work, a short sabbatical saw James returning in the nature reserves’ lead role. James brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a passion for looking after East Devon’s countryside and wild spaces for people to enjoy.
