If you're an experienced bird watcher and also like talking to people, we'd love to hear from you.
We're always on the look out for more 'guides in the hides' to run the two 'What's that bird?' sessions we run every month at Seaton Wetlands (formerly known as the Axe Estuary Wetlands) - usually in either the Island Hide or Tower Hide. However, if you would prefer to guide at Seaton Marshes or Colyford Common you'd be most welcome.
The sessions last for two hours and timing depends on the tide. People of all ages and levels of birdwatching skill are invited to come along and discover more about the birds on the Axe Estuary. We provide the binoculars and scopes for use in the hide during the session.
All of the volunteers are offered first aid training and there are at least two social events a year.
