Hire the off-road mobility scooter (Tramper)

The Countryside team is keen to improve access to Seaton Wetlands for visitors with limited mobility, the a off-road mobility scooter ( Tramper) is available for hire when trained staff or volunteers are on duty.

Before hiring the mobility scooter you must:

  • Read the terms and conditions.
  • You must become a member of the Countryside Mobility scheme . Membership is either £2.50 for 2 weeks or £10 for the year, this allows you to use off-road mobility 'Trampers' at sites across the UK. Membership and payment, via cash or cheque (made payable to Living Options) can be completed at Seaton Wetlands.
  • Book your visit with the Countryside team. Call 01395517557 (Mon to Fri) or 07972 735195 (to make a booking during a weekend, 10am to 4pm)

We do not charge for hire of the off-road mobility scooter but instead ask for a £5 deposit which can be left as a donation.

We have a number of volunteers who have been trained to guide visitors with a visual impairment around the Wetlands.

Hire the Reed Base

The Reed Base is a classroom space found in the heart of Seaton Wetlands.

The Reed Base can be hired for team away days, alternative birthday parties and classes/workshops. View more information about the Reed Base.

The Countryside team are able to offer a range of team building activities for staff away days.

Hire Pond dipping equipment

Pond dipping equipment is available to hire from the Discovery Hut from 10am to 4pm, Saturday - Monday.

Adults are responsible for supervising their children when they us the pond dipping equipment.

Once you have finished pond dipping,remember to return your kit to the Discovery Hut and wash your hands thoroughly.

The volunteers will ask for a £5 deposit. Please leave a suggested donation of £2 per pond dipping kit.
