This spotlight is on dental care

National Smile Month  is the UK’s largest and longest-running campaign to promote good oral health. In 2017, the campaign takes place between 15 May and 15 June and it highlights three key messages which will help us develop and maintain a healthy mouth:

  1. Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste
  2. Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks
  3. Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.

Find dentists services  near you, showing contact details, customer ratings, and whether a practice is accepting new NHS patients.

The Peninsula Dental  School's Dental Education Facility in Veysey Close, Exeter, is currently recruiting adults and children not currently registered with an NHS dentist. In state-of-the-art dental clinical facilities, student dental carers (dentists, dental nurses, hygienists and therapists) are trained to the highest standards while providing free treatment to NHS patients. Treatment is primary care dentistry which includes check-ups, scale and polishing, oral health advice, fillings, extractions, root canal treatment, crowns, bridges and dentures etc.
