4. Roles and responsibilities for implementing this strategy
The Council is committed to tackling tenancy fraud. All housing staff will receive periodic training on how to identify the different types of tenancy fraud, its implications and the ways to prevent and detect fraudulent activity.
The service lead for Housing is responsible for implementing this strategy. The service lead for Housing is responsible for ensuring that all staff involved in the implementation of this strategy are aware of and trained in this strategy and its procedures.
Estate Management Officers are responsible for referring and investigating reports of tenancy fraud.
