I am really enjoying being an electoral services apprentice at East Devon District Council. It is very interesting and I am able to develop my knowledge from professionals within the team, who are always willing to help and answer my questions or queries. Being an apprentice is very beneficial as I work four days in the office and learn the practical side of the job, but I also spend one day at Exeter College gaining an NVQ. Attending Exeter College allows me to meet different people who are all working in different organisations. Working for the council is also great, everyone is really friendly and you are treated like a valued member of the team.
