1. Service of copies of applications

Details of organisations which need to be served copies of which types of licensing applications.

Please note that this is in addition to us. We must be served a copy of every application.

Grant of a premises licence, application to vary a premises licence (full variation) or provisional statement:

You need to send a copy of the application to:

  • Devon and Cornwall Police
  • Devon Fire and Rescue Service
  • our planning and countryside service
  • our environmental health and equalities services (or HSE)
  • Devon Trading Standards
  • Public Health Devon
  • Devon Area Child Protection
  • Home Office (Immigration Enforcement)
    (The Home Office does not need a copy of the application if the licence only authorises regulated entertainment and does not include the sale of alcohol or late night refreshment)

Grant of a club premises certificate or variation of a club premises certificate:

You need to send a copy of the application to:

  • Devon and Cornwall Police
  • Devon Fire and Rescue Service
  • our planning and countryside service
  • our environmental health and equalities services (or HSE)
  • Devon Trading Standards
  • Public Health Devon
  • Devon Area Child Protection

Minor variation application

You need to send copies of the application to:

  • You don't need to send a copy to anyone else

Personal licence application

You need to send copies of the application to:

  • You don't need to send a copy to anyone else

Please be aware that you do not need to send copies of your application to the Home Office (Immigration Enforcement) for minor variations to a premises licence or for personal licence applications.  We will however consult with them if we consider there to be a Home Office interest in the application, if an applicant has an immigration offence or is required to pay an immigration penalty or to query an applicant's right to work in the UK.

Temporary event notices

You need to send a copy of the application to:

  • Our environmental health and equalities services (or HSE)

Licence transfer application

You need to send a copy of the application to:

  • Devon and Cornwall Police
  • Home Office (Immigration Enforcement)
    (The Home Office does not need a copy of the application if the licence only authorises regulated entertainment and does not include the sale of alcohol or late night refreshment)

Application to vary the designated premises supervisor

You need to send copies of the application to:

  • Devon and Cornwall Police

Interim authority notice

You need to send a copy of the application to:

  • Devon and Cornwall Police
  • Home Office (Immigration Enforcement)

Notice of interest in premises

You need to send a copy of the application to:

  • You don't need to send a copy to anyone else

Notification of change of address of a premises licence holder

You need to send copies of the application to:

  • You don't need to send a copy to anyone else

Change of registered address of a club

You need to send copies of the application to:

  • You don't need to send a copy to anyone else

Notification of change of club rules or name
