Overview
You can surrender your premises licence at any time if you no longer want to use the premises for any of the licensable activities authorised.
How to surrender
To apply you'll need to send us an email telling us that you want to surrender the licence. Please include the name of the premises and the premises licence number.
You'll need to tell us the date on which you want to surrender the licence
Please return your premises licence to us in the post or give an explanation as to why it cannot be returned.
Restrictions
Only the premises licence holder or an agent of the licence holder can surrender the licence.

You'll need to return your existing premises licence to us.
We'll let you know that we've received your notice of surrender.
You'll no longer be authorised to use the premises for any licensable activities (unless you apply for a temporary event notice) from the date you have given.
When a licence has been surrendered, it can only be reinstated if a transfer application is received by us within 28 days from the day we receive the surrender notice.
You can write to us surrendering your premises licence. Please include the date of surrender, name of the premises and the premises licence number.
You'll need to return your premises licence to us with your letter.
