We are currently in the process of consulting on our new hackney carriage and private hire licensing policy.
We have produced a draft policy and we would be very grateful for any comments and feedback that you have about this.
If you would like to get involved and have your say on our draft policy you'll need to fill in a consultation response form and send this to us by email or by post.
The consultation period runs from 27 February 2017 to 24 April 2017. Please return your comments by 9am on the 24 April 2017 at the latest. Any comments received after this time will not be considered.
It would help us considerably if you could please refer to the paragraph number of the policy when you complete the response form. You must include your name, address and contact details. If you are responding on behalf of an organisation, please give the name of the organisation and a brief description of who the organisation represents. Anonymous or blank responses will not be accepted.
What about confidentiality?
Please be aware that your response will be made public and published in a summary of responses. Your name will also be published unless you state clearly that you wish your name to be treated confidentially. If you are replying by email or via the website, unless you specifically include a request to the contrary in the main text of your submission to us, we will assume that your consent overrides any confidentially disclaimer that is generated by your organisation's IT system. The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires public authorities to disclose information they hold if this is requested. This includes information contained in responses to consultations. If you ask for your name to be confidential this will only be possible if it is consistent with the council's obligations under the Freedom of Information Act.
