Service Surrender your sex establishment licence
Overview
You can surrender your licence at any time if you no longer want to use the premises as a sex establishment.
How to surrender
You can apply online. You'll need to give:
- the date of surrender
- an explanation about why the licence is no longer needed
- any other information we should be aware of in connection with the surrendering of the licence
- the name of the premises and the licence number
You'll need to tell us the date on which you want to surrender the licence
Please return your sex establishment licence to us in the post or give an explanation as to why it cannot be returned.
Restrictions
Only the licence holder or an agent of the licence holder can surrender the licence.

You'll need to return your existing licence to us.
We'll let you know that we've received your notice of surrender.
You'll no longer be authorised to use the premises as a sex establishment from the date you have given.
You can write to us surrendering your licence. Please include the date of surrender, name of the premises and the premises licence number.
You'll need to return your sex establishment licence to us with your letter.
