District council offers helping hand to residents with parking problems in Exmouth
East Devon District Council is offering a temporary parking solution to Exmouth residents in Camperdown Terrace, Trinity Road and Point Terrace, who are potentially facing a shortage of on-street parking spaces over the next three months.
From January to March, while South West Water (SWW) is undertaking a programme of sewerage works, residents in those roads can buy - for just £10 - a monthly temporary parking permit for either Imperial Road Recreational Ground Long Stay or Estuary Long Stay car parks.
Dates for the works being carried out are:
• Camperdown Terrace - 5 January to 14 February
• Trinity Road - 16 February to 6 March
• Point Terrace - 9-27 March
Anyone interested in purchasing a temporary parking permit should apply to East Devon District Council Parking Services on 01395 571780.
Public notices have already been placed in the area, alerting residents to the parking offer.
The council regrets that the parking permit does not extend to motorhomes, caravans or HGVs.
