Plant sale and barbecue at Seaton Wetlands

Proceeds from popular plant sale and barbeque will go towards management of nature reserve

East Devon District Council's Countryside team will be holding its second annual plant sale and barbecue in the spectacular setting of the Seaton Wetlands on Tuesday 26 May between 4pm and 6pm.

An East Devon District Council spokesperson said:

We are hoping to be able to offer a wide range of horticultural treasures including trees, shrubs, perennials, bedding, herbs and a selection of young vegetable plants. So there should be plenty of opportunity to pick up a bargain, followed by a delicious locally sourced burger or hotdog from the Countryside barbecue. Or you could just take the opportunity to relax and explore the beauty of the nature reserve.

Although entry is free, there is a small charge for barbecue food. Tea coffee and squash are available for a donation. Proceeds will go towards future management of the nature reserve.

Free parking at the Wetlands car park, through Seaton cemetery. For more information call 01395 517557 or email.
