Celebrate our Heathlands

Heath Week is back

East Devon will be celebrating its amazing collection of heathlands with a special week of talks, walks and activities next week. (26 and 31 July.)

The first event is festival day at Woodbury Castle on Sunday 26 July with stalls, demonstrations, pony rides, mountain bike taster sessions and guided walks on offer. The festival starts from 11am. Drop in for an hour or two or bring a picnic and stay all day. There is free parking and lots of free activities to do.

Throughout the week there will be a huge range of events running including art exhibitions, beginners’ orienteering, Royal Marine Day, guided wildlife walks, a wildlife photography session for children and a number of nature reserve open days.

Pick up a heath week events leaflet from your local library or tourist information centre or download online.
