Mamhead Slipway works.

Project update on Mamhead Slipway

To date the site team has completed the site clearance of the gardens area and carried out the bulk of the excavation to reduce the level across the site. The site cabins and welfare units have been set up. Works are well underway for the promenade retaining wall, with over half of the base slabs cast and the first of the wall bays cast. The retaining wall adjacent to the slipway has been broken out and demolition of the upper section of the slipway slab has started.

The plan is to complete the reinforced concrete works to the promenade retaining wall and start the splash wall (parallel to the road and pavement).

Towards the end of April and beginning of May, you will notice large items of plant being mobilised to start the marine operations. This will include a long reach excavator and a 100t crawler crane and the piling hammers. There will also be a number of deliveries of steel sheet piles and steel piling frames.
