Paddle your own canoe in East Devon

Take part in an voyage of wildlife discovery by canoe with Countryside and the Axe Vale Canoe Club

Following on from the success of last summer's canoe safaris along the River Axe, the East Devon District Council Countryside team and Axe Vale Canoe Club have again joined forces to offer five exciting canoe experiences.

Each canoe adventure will be led by qualified instructors from the Axe Vale Canoe Club with guided commentary from the Countryside Rangers, who will share their knowledge of the wildlife encountered on the trip.

Paddle your own canoe and discover the River Axe or the coastline from Beer to Branscombe from a different perspective, while enjoying unspoilt scenery and diverse wildlife along the way.

The summer adventure includes a delicious picnic supper either on the riverbank or on Branscombe beach.

The canoe safaris will take place on:

No previous experience is necessary, but participants must be aged eight or over and be able to swim 25 metres.
