Service change already introduced in Exmouth and will be rolled out district-wide from June 2017

Find out more about East Devon’s new recycling and waste service at Cranbrook Community Fun Day on Saturday (March 11).

The new service has recently been introduced in Exmouth where almost 17,000 households are now able to recycle more items – including cardboard, cartons and plastics including pots, tubs, bottles and trays – for weekly collection. As so much more is being recycled, waste collections are carried out every three weeks. The service is being rolled out to the rest of East Devon from June 2017.

Recycling officers will be on hand at the fun day to explain the new service and help householders with their questions. One of the council’s purpose-built Romaquip recycling lorries will also be available for residents to have a look at and help them understand how their recycling is collected.

The event is at Hayes Square from 10am to 4pm.
