Matt Willson, Bluebells at Blackbury Camp - 2017 Judges Choice

Have your photo featured in the 2018 East Devon Countryside calendar

Following the success of last year’s photographic competition, East Devon District Council's Countryside team has again launched a competition to find the best photographs of the East Devon countryside for their 2018 calendar.

Entries can be sent to the Countryside team between 1 June and to 31 August 2017 and the subject matter can be as varied as you wish.

So, whether you have a photo of a landscape, wild flower or wildlife in East Devon, send it in to: All entries must include your name, where you live, your age (if under 18) and a caption, which includes where the photo was taken. Images must be high resolution (1MB +).

A judging panel, consisting of the Chief Executive of East Devon District Council, Mark Williams, Councillor Tom Wright, East Devon's environment portfolio holder and local photographer, Matt Willson, will be selecting the winning entries in September.

The final selection of photographs will feature in the 2018 East Devon Countryside calendar, which will be available to purchase online, at the council offices and from Seaton Wetlands.

East Devon's Information and Events Officer, Elle Taylor said:

Last year we had over 150 entries. The winners' photographs were featured in the 2017 Countryside calendar and included an amazing photo of the bluebells at Blackbury Camp, as well as a close up of the iconic robin at Seaton Wetlands. We’re looking forward to enjoying more photographs featuring the diverse range of landscapes and wildlife of the East Devon Countryside.
