10. Budleigh Salterton
Budleigh Salterton is a picturesque town in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, it has 2 miles of pebble beach which attracts swimmers and fishermen and each year there is a Christmas Day Swim. Towards the East end of Budleigh beach is the large Lime Kiln pay and display car park.
Budleigh Salterton remains one of Devon’s most unspoilt and charming towns. Budleigh plays host to Literary, Music, Jazz and Food Festivals, and there’s also the Gala Week during spring half term and the ever popular Late Night Shopping Event each December.
Located close to the town centre, The Green offers a large open access site, with a car park at the southern end and a drop kerb for excellent vehicle access to the park. Popular for community events including the Budleigh Literary Festival and bi-annual Food and Drink Festival, the Green has potential to host a multitude of functions, including educational, community, charity and festival style events.
There is a small Victorian style shelter in the middle of the park, which could easily be used as a focal point for photos and any special occasion looking for a stunning backdrop.
The Green has electricity and water conveniently located in the centre of the park for events that may require it.
