You can buy a memorial bench from us. There are three options which vary in price and according to your preferred location.
Please note, we can only place memorial seats/trees on land owned by us.
We can supply a traditional 1.8 metre hardwood seat (the timber is from sustainable forests). This option includes:
- securing the seat on site, with a base (if needed)
- a bronze plaque
- a contribution towards the maintenance of the seat during its working life (which can be up to 20 years).
Unfortunately, if the seat is damaged beyond what we consider to be economical to repair, we wouldn't replace it.
Adopt a bench
If we have an existing seat without a plaque, you can adopt it and have your plaque attached. This includes:
- fitting of the plaque to the seat
- a contribution towards any future maintenance of the seat.
Recycled plastic seats are long lasting and an excellent use of material which would otherwise end up as landfill. They can be secured at various locations throughout our district but are especially robust for areas subject to extreme weather conditions.
The plaques used on recycled plastic seats is made from engraved stainless steel which suits the more modern style.
Cost varies, depending on which option you choose:
- Phoenix style bench, £735.00.
- Stanford style bench, £997.50
The cost of these seats, includes a plaque and securing it on site.
You can also adopt an existing Phoenix style bench for £367.50.
