Adoption

On the 15 April 2015, Cabinet resolved to ‘make’ the Lympstone Neighbourhood Plan so that it forms part of the Development Plan for East Devon alongside the adopted East Devon Local Plan 1999-2011, and the Devon Minerals and Waste Plan. This was following the successful referendum on 26 March 2015, where 86.5% of residents who voted were in favour of adopting the Plan.

Examination

Mr McGurk was appointed to examine the Lympstone Neighbourhood Plan, a process which commenced on 13 October 2014. The process was undertaken on the basis of considering the written material which forms the plan, its appendices and accompanying statements as well as any representations received in response to the formal consultations.

A revised version of the Lympstone Neighbourhood Plan has been submitted to the district council for consideration. We checked the plan is legally compliant (that it meets the requirements of Sections 38A, 38B and 38C TCPA 90, Regulations 14 and 15 and Schedule 4B TCPA 90) and carried out consultation from 28 July 2014 to 12 noon on 8 September 2014. The publicity notice is available to view. Hard copies were available to view at our council offices in Sidmouth and at Exmouth library. Copies of the Neighbourhood Development Plan and supporting documentation are still available to view below on our website and on the Lympstone Parish Council website.
