1. Latest news on the CIL Examination
The Inspector has now issued his Final Report on the Examination into the CIL Charging Schedule. The Charging Schedule was adopted by the Council on 20 April 2016 with the Charging Schedule taking effect from 1 September 2016. Further information is available on the CIL information pages.
The reconvened hearing session took place on 9 July 2015.
The Council consulted on a revised Draft Charging Schedule from 16 April 2015 to 12 June 2015. Representations that were received are detailed below.

The first CIL Examination Hearing Session took place on 13 March 2014. Following this, the Inspector wrote to the Council in a letter from the Inspector dated 17 April 2014 and another letter from the Inspector dated 24 April 2014.
In response we sent a letter to the Inspector from EDDC dated 29 April 2014 and this was followed by another letter to the inspector from EDDC dated 29 August 2014.
Progress on the CIL Examination was reliant on progress with the new Local Plan. The outstanding evidence required for progress has now been received and so a revised Draft Charging Schedule and supporting evidence has been submitted to the Inspector and was available for consultation from 16 April 2015 to 12 June 2015.
The Inspector produced a consultation paper for CIL outlining one question for consultation responses to address. Guidance notes were available to view before submitting representations.
