Applications for street trading on the seafront during Sidmouth Folk Week 2016 have now been closed.
If you have applied for a pitch permits will be issued shortly. Applicants who have not been successful have been contacted.
Sixty pitches are marked out each year on the Esplanade and permits issued to traders. Those without a permit are not allowed to trade.
Applications forms are made available, annually, from 1 April. All pitches measure 2.5 metres wide by 1.8 metres deep, due to demand we are unable issue permits for double pitches and preference will be given to stall holders booking the complete week. Hours of trading for 2016 will be 8.00 am to 10.00 pm daily except for Friday 5 August when trading will cease at 7.30 pm.
If you have previously traded during Folk Week you will see some slight changes in the layout this year, this is to allow for two dedicated performance spaces. To allow for this some of the gaps between the stall have been removed. The new layout will be reviewed after Folk Week, if you have any feedback please let us know.
