A walking/ writing workshop

A 7 mile walking/ writing workshop with RSPB warden Toby Taylor and writers Jan and Phil from Invigorwrite. They will help you express your personal and creative responses to the landscape in a writing journal. All materials provided, please bring a packed lunch and suitable walking gear. The day will end at The Red Lion in Sidbury and we'll catch the bus back to the starting point on Aylesbeare Common.

  • East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership

    The East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty was designated in 1963 and covers 103 square miles including 18 miles of  Heritage Coast and the East Devon section of the World Heritage Site 'Jurassic Coast'.

  • LED

    LED operates 12 leisure centres across East Devon and South Somerset, on behalf of East Devon District Council. It has also established several outreach projects in local communities, including Walking for Health.

  • Walking for Health

    LED has developed a series of Health Walks that take place across East Devon, several on East Devon District Council nature reserves. The walks are led by the qualified team of volunteer Walk Leaders who have undergone the National Walking the Way to Health training as well as receiving training in First Aid Resuscitation.

    The walks are aimed at people who are doing very little or no exercise at present, but who would like to become more active. However everyone is welcome.
