THG opens with relaunch of its acclaimed exhibition: ARTIST ROOMS: Richard Long 'Being in the Moment'

ARTIST ROOMS Richard Long 'Being in the Moment' marks the first collaboration between THG and ARTIST ROOMS to bring the work of the renowned British sculptor and land artist, Richard Long, to East Devon.

For more than 50 years, Richard Long has been at the forefront of conceptual art working beyond the confines of traditional material and questioning how we view the relationship between landscapes and art. The exhibition features work that spans 40 years of Long’s career from 1966 to 2006, starting with early experiments in the South West of England.

To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, THG has reconfigured the visitor experience in the galleries in line with latest government guidelines. Here's what to expect.

New opening hours: Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm for guided tours only.

This is a unique opportunity to have a private visit to THG and their world class exhibition. The tour will include the THG shop which is selling a new range of greetings cards, ceramics, jewellery, prints and much more.

The exhibition is drawn from ARTIST ROOMS, a collection of modern and contemporary art jointly owned by the National Galleries of Scotland and Tate. The ARTIST ROOMS touring programme is delivered by the National Galleries of Scotland and Tate in a partnership with Ferens Art Gallery through 2020 supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, by Art Fund and by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland.
