4. What about flooding in the area next to the Estuary?
The area of Exmouth to the north of Exmouth Pier is not included in the Beach Management Plan, but has been considered as part of the Exe Estuary Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy. Improved defences recommended in the strategy are being implemented through the Exmouth Tidal Defence Scheme.
