Quick Guide Slipways In East Devon
EDDC maintains three slipways in Exmouth. These are all free to use, but parking fees are payable for vehicles. Please do not park on the foreshore.
Mamhead slipway – the only one of our slipways with straight to water access at all tide states. Parking for a small number of vehicles, more parking is located at Camperdown Carpark or Imperial Car park.
Belshers slipway – suitable only for small craft, this slip way is very close to housing so please be considerate of local residents and keep noise to a minimum
Imperial Recreation Ground slipway. Suitable for larger craft, plus please exercise caution if driving out to the waters edge as it is very easy to become stuck in the mud.
We also have ramps to beaches at Exmouth, Sidmouth town and Seaton, but note these are not Slipways per se. and while you are very welcome to beach launch small craft, vehicles should not be taken on to the beach as they will become stuck in shingle or sand
The slipways at Axmouth Harbour are operated by the Axe Yacht Club Home : Axe Yacht Club and the East Devon Fisherman’s association and are not available for public launching.
