Church graveyards
Our cemetery team do not control church graveyards. All enquiries for burials must be direct to the church or church diocese.
Scattering of ashes in a public place
Information about scattering of ashes in a public place, beach or river is widely available on the internet.
If you wish to scatter the ashes of your loved one in one our our parks you will first need to ask permission from our Streetscene team.
Home Burials
If you wish to burial your loved one on your own land there are many regulations that have to be complied with. This is something our cemeteries team are unable to assist with but information is available on the internet. You may well need to contact The Council's planning team and environmental health department
