East Devon is a beautiful place to live and work, with its charming market towns, coastal areas, and rural landscapes. However, many of our residents face financial challenges, including the affordability of food, energy, and housing—issues that often go unnoticed. We understand the profound impact that poverty has on health, wellbeing, and future opportunities. As a result, enhancing the quality of life for all our residents is a key priority in our Council Plan. To achieve this, we are updating our Anti-Poverty Strategy.

We recently sought your input to ensure the new strategy addresses these challenges and meets the needs of our communities. The survey, which ended on the 18th of October at 5pm, is a crucial step in shaping our approach. We will use the responses gathered from the survey to help shape our updated Anti-Poverty Strategy after we have thoroughly reviewed them. Your input is essential in ensuring that the strategy effectively addresses the challenges our communities face, and we look forward to sharing how your feedback will guide our next steps.
