Information Help to preserve East Devon’s treescape
Content
East Devon District Council proposed five sites across the district for planting young tree whips. These trees will evolve into small copses, pocket woodlands, and a community Tiny Forest, creating a vibrant network of habitats. This initiative not only enhances our environment but also provides numerous benefits for wildlife and our community. The project is part of the Emergency Tree Fund, overseen by Devon County Council and supported by funding from the Woodland Trust. The consultation asked for your thoughts and opinions on the viability of planting in the five locations.
With the consultation period now closed, we are reviewing all the responses received. Your feedback will help guide the next steps as we work on this project, which will provide long-term benefits for both wildlife and the community. Further updates will be shared as the plan progresses and any changes that may occur to those plans. We appreciate your engagement and commitment to preserving and enriching East Devon’s natural landscape.
