22. Colyton

Information from Colyton Parish Council:

Colyton Local Delivery Service (CLoDS) are delivering help and support to those residents in Colyton who are self isolating. They have every street covered with a co-ordinator/ point of contact and they are in turn supported by other volunteers to deliver the requests from those in need. They also have a business leaflet showing how local business can take orders and payment and CLoDS will deliver. Coronavirus Action Plan for Colyford

If you live in Colyford and need some help, contact Anne West, email: annewest@lineone.net or call her on 01297 551375. There are local Colyford residents, that will do your shopping for you if you live in Colyford. A local pharmacy will deliver prescriptions. If you have any others problems please give her a call and she may also be able to assist you.

Community Waffle House

The Community Waffle House in Axminster are helping co-ordinate a 'Phone Waffling Service' for local residents that are lonely or isolated to make sure that no-one goes without regular human interaction at this time. They are also running a community online Zoom meeting for those that they normally work with at Waffle and could potentially offer this out to more if needed. They're also working with tech professionals and volunteers to help provide digital support to people. They can offer this phone / online service to residents of: All Saints, Axminster, Axmouth, Beer, Branscombe, Colyford, Colyton, Dalwood, Hawkchurch, Kilmington, Membury, Nether Exe, Shute, Southleigh, Stockland and Uplyme.

Project Food

Project Food (previously known as HALFF), are offering:

  • Free homemade ready meals to people in need, made in their kitchens at Axminster Hospital and free fruit or veg boxes.
  • Dietary and nutritional advice.
  • Online cooking sessions, particularly for people isolated at home.
  • Delivery service of fresh fruit, veg and milk. People can phone and place the order over the phone for delivery to their door. Payment by cash or BACS.

They can currently offer this support in; All Saints, Axminster, Axmouth, Beer, Branscombe, Chardstock, Colyford, Colyton, Combpyne Rousdon, Dalwood, Hawkchurch, Honiton, Kilmington, Membury, Musbury, Offwell, Ottery St Mary, Seaton, Shute, Sidbury, Sidford, Sidmouth, Uplyme, West Hill.
