8. Wild East Devon update

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Wild East Devon team have put in place the following measures to protect the public, our volunteers and staff.

Their ten nature reserves remain open. At Seaton Wetlands, the team have now closed the car park, bird hides, toilets and Discovery Hut until further notice.

All the Wild East Devon public events, volunteering sessions and volunteer-led events up to Fri 1 May have been cancelled.

We have also cancelled or postponed our current projects working with those in the vulnerable age categories, as well as schools visits to nature reserves until Fri 1 May.

We have suspended moderate and above risk activities to ensure no avoidable call on our amazing emergency services, which means inconveniences such as temporary closures to some permissive paths may be in effect.

Thank you for your support of the Wild East Devon team. We will keep everything under constant review and we’ll communicate further updates through the website more information to keep you and your family entertained this Easter can be found by reading the latest Wild East Devon newsletter.
