1. Thousands of pounds of grants available for East Devon businesses

Firms in East Devon are being urged to check their eligibility for grant funding before the money has to be returned to Government at the end of March.  Two 'Local Restrictions Support Grants' have funding available for qualifying businesses (a) forced to close as instructed by Government and (b) those which could remain open.

The Additional Restrictions Grant deadline of 11th March has been extended to allow more local firms to apply for the funding.

Restart Grants
In the budget the Government announced £5 billion for new Restart Grants – a one off cash grant of up to £18,000 for hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses in England. Non-essential retail businesses will open first, so they will receive grants of up to £6,000 per premises. Hospitality and leisure businesses, including personal care and gyms, will open later, or be more impacted by restrictions when they do, so will be given grants of up to £18,000. Further information will be provided once the government guidance has been received for this scheme.
