4. Be heard, be a Councillor

Many communities have really pulled together through the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Has the last year given you the chance to be more involved in your local community?

Standing as a Devon County Councillor means you could be part of giving local people a voice and making Devon an even better place to live. You don’t need any special skills or experience, just an interest in community involvement.

There are only three criteria you need to fill to stand:
• Be 18 years old or over on the day of nomination.
• Have work connections or property in Devon.
• Be a UK, Commonwealth or EU citizen.

If you think you have what it takes to be the voice of your community, find out more about standing to be a Devon County Councillor.
