Event East Devon Conservation Volunteering (28 February)
Join the East Devon Conservation Volunteers
Under the guidance of the Wild East Devon ranger, the group helps with practical site management. Their work contributes to the conservation of the district's fantastic wildlife and habitats.
Volunteers have the opportunity to develop new practical skills and an understanding of habitat management techniques.
The East Devon Conservation Volunteers work across a range of habitats and there is plenty of opportunity to get involved with a variety of tasks throughout the year including:
- scrub clearance
- coppicing
- tree thinning
- hedgelaying
- wildlife surveys
- and control of invasive species
All are welcome and no previous experience is necessary. Just come along and get stuck in!
All volunteers are offered first aid training and there are at least two social events a year.
