If possible, please call us on 01395 516551 to tell us if you have found a stray dog – this means that we will deal with your case as soon as possible. However, if you prefer to make an online report, please use this form but please note there may be unavoidable delay in responding.

Information about the dog
Any personal information which you provide will be held and used by East Devon District Council for the purpose of dealing with stray dogs reported to us and on the basis of public task and our legal obligation under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Who will receive or see my personal information?
Your information may also be shared within East Devon District Council for the purposes of carrying out our lawful functions. Otherwise your personal information will not be disclosed to anybody outside East Devon District Council without your permission, unless there is a lawful reason to do so, for example disclosure is necessary for crime prevention or detection purposes. Your information will be held securely and will not be retained for any longer than is necessary. There are a number of rights available to you in relation to our use of your personal information, depending on the reason for processing. The reports will be logged for an officer from the environmental protection team to follow up, on the next working day if possible. Reports of found dogs are notified for response seven days a week between 8am and 9pm. You will receive an email acknowledgement to any online report.
