Arts Council for England
The Arts Council for England has funding available for arts activities that engage people in England or that help artists and arts organisations in England to carry out their work. Grants for individuals usually range from £1,000 up to £30,000 and for organisations normally ranges from £1,000 to £100,000. For more information phone 0845 300 6200.
The Colwinstin Charitable Trust
The Colwinstin Charitable Trust has grants of between £5,000 and £20,000 to registered charities working in the areas of opera, classical music and the visual arts. The funding is to achieve higher quality performances and attract a wider audience. For more information email colwinston.trust@ntlworld.com
The Foyle Foundation
The Foyle Foundation has grants for the arts in the region of £1,000 to £250,000, available to registered charities. The key priorities are making arts more accessible, encouraging new work/ artists and building infrastructure projects to construct or improve arts facilities. The Voluntary Arts Network (VAN)
VAN offers guidance and advice on applying for funding for the arts and includes a selection of UK charitable trusts who make grants to arts organisations and projects.

The Garrick Charitable Trust
The Garrick Charitable Trust has grants from £2,500 to £5,000 available to registered charities for theatre, music, literature and dance projects. For more information phone 020 7379 6478
The Fenton Arts Trust
Fenton Arts Trust has funding available to voluntary and community organisations helping to develop artists. There are no stated minimum or maximum amounts. Apply as early in the year as possible as funding is often committed by the summer.
The Wakeham Trust
The Wakeham Trust has grants of between £125 - £2,500 available to registered charities to help people improve their communities. They are very interested in funding neighbourhood projects, community arts projects, young people involved in community service and projects set up by those who are socially excluded.
The Fidelio Charitable Trust
Funding of up to £5,000 is available from Fidelio Charitable Trust for the dramatic and operatic arts, music, speech and dance. Institutions, colleges, arts festivals and other arts organisations can apply, along with selected individuals. They must not be seeking support for themselves.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation
The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation has funding available to support projects in the areas of culture, heritage and the arts and will consider funding towards projects that make an ongoing and real difference to peoples lives.
The Garfield Weston Foundation
Garfield Weston Foundation has grants available of between £1,000 and £1million. They support a wide variety of good causes including: education, the arts, welfare, youth, community, environment, mental health, health, religion (especially church restoration) and others. The Wellcome Trust
The Wellcome Trust has grants available to support projects that engage the public with biomedical science through the arts including dance, drama, performance arts, visual arts, music, film, craft, photography, creative writing or digital media. For more information phone 020 7611 8888.
The European Cultural Fund
Grants of up to £60,000 are available from the European Cultural Fund for cultural organisations and individual artists and their partners from other eligible European countries. The programme supports outstanding artistic projects which show vision in illuminating the issues of diversity in Europe.
The Idlewild Trust
The Idlewild Trust has grants of up to £5,000 available for registered charities. The charities must be concerned with the encouragement of excellence in performing and the fine arts and the preservation for the benefit of the public of buildings and items of historical interest or national importance. The Paul Hamlyn Foundation
