The True Colours Trust
The True Colours Trust has funding of up to £10,000 available to local organisations and projects that support disabled children and their families on a daily basis. These are usually for one off purposes such as hydrotherapy pools, mini buses, young carers projects and bereavement support. For more information phone 0207 4100330.
The Devonian Fund
The Devonian Fund provides grants to alleviate mobility issues in relation to disability and ill health, this grant is administered by the Devon Community Foundation. For more information phone 01884 235887.
The Bloss Family Foundation
The Bloss Family Foundation has funding available to groups in Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Surrey. Your project must help children and young people aged 18 or under from deprived backgrounds and/ or are mentally and/ or physically disabled to enjoy a better quality of life. The Variety Club Children’s Charity
The Variety Club Children's Charity has grants available to support not-for profit organisations or individuals working with sick, disabled or disadvantaged children up to 19 years of age. Successful grants include for wheelchairs, minibuses, attendance at events or attractions. Most grants are for less than £5,000. For more information phone 020 7428 8100.
The Hedley Foundation
Funding is available from The Hedley Foundation for specific projects to assist and encourage development and change. Last year the average grant given was £3,000. The main aim of the project should be to support young people. They will also fund projects involving disabled people, the terminally ill and carers. Only registered charities can apply.
The Family Fund Trust
The Family Fund Trust has financial aid and information to ease the stress experienced by families in the UK earning less than £28,000 who care for severely disabled young people up to the age of 17. Holidays, leisure activities, play equipment and telephones could be eligible. No upper or lower limit of support.
