Update May 27
The Minister of State for Housing, Rt. Hon. Christopher Pincher has written a letter to all social housing tenants to update you on the government's plans as we begin to lift ourselves out of lockdown. We would encourage all of our tenants to read this letter, which can be found GOV.UK website.
We understand many of our residents will be concerned about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our customers, staff and contractors.
As a council, we are monitoring the situation closely. Updates and more information can be found on our Coronavirus information pages.
Our Housing team are focused on minimising risk whilst delivering services to our tenants.
Call Before Visit Approach
We have adopted a Call Before Visit approach in an effort to protect colleagues and contractors who have to attend people’s homes, premises or sites for essential maintenance or servicing. The idea is to phone ahead and confirm with the occupier that they or anyone in their household are not self-isolating or infected with Coronavirus. Please be aware that we will only be carrying out visits in situations that are essential or an emergency.
Although our offices are closed, housing staff will still be available via email or telephone to help you. Our contact details and more information on how each department are responding to this developing situation can be found by following the links below:
