Information Local contacts and their role
Content
When you call us on the alarm system we may need to get someone out to help you. In some situations we would call out the appropriate emergency service straight away. However, there may be times when it is more appropriate to call a named contact (a relative or friend who lives nearby).
Please talk to anyone that you nominate as a local contact to make sure they understand we may call on them at any time, day or night. It is also important that they know how to access your property - including the number of your key safe and how to use it.
Please don’t worry if you don't have anyone who can be a local contact, or if your local contacts are away for a while. If we can't get hold of a local contact and we are concerned about your welfare we will always call out one of the emergency services to help you.
Remember:
- Make sure anyone you nominate as a local contact is happy to act in this way for you
- Let us have their details (telephone number, mobile number, address) and any times that they are not available
- Make sure they know how to access your property and, if applicable, your key safe number
