2. What we do about asbestos
As a Landlord we have a duty to manage asbestos under the Control of Asbestos Regulations and we need to hold a register of asbestos in our properties. We will make this register available to interested parties with reasonable notice.
We carry out surveys to identify the location and type of asbestos present in our properties and we have drawn up a management plan to deal with it.
We do not normally remove asbestos unless it is damaged, likely to become damaged, or disturbed in the normal use of the property, or if it is likely to be affected by any works carried out. This is in line with the asbestos regulations.
