The board was set up in 2006 and consists of five councillors, five tenant and leaseholder representatives and two independent community representatives.

The role of the housing review board is to:

  • consider matters relating to the council's landlord and housing management functions
  • advise the cabinet on housing policy and operational practice, where this affects the council's tenants and leaseholders
  • keep under review the housing stock options appraisal and monitor the conditions which will influence the future arrangements for the ownership and management of the council's housing stock
  • promote good practice and monitor service delivery
  • examine subjects and issues as directed by the cabinet

The Board meets at least 4 times a year, during the daytime, with other interim meetings also possible.

We are looking for new tenant members with energy, commitment and strategic vision but most importantly a commitment to our core values and a passion for social housing and the real difference it can make to people’s lives.

If you would like the opportunity to make a difference we would love to hear from you.
