3. What we do if one of our properties has asbestos
We will respond to all reports of suspected asbestos in our properties as a matter of priority, if the suspected material is damaged. We may take a sample of the material to determine what course of action, if any, is required.
We will remove or repair any damaged asbestos materials found in our properties. If the material can be made safe this will usually be done by sealing or enclosing it. If it needs to be removed then we will instruct one of our contractors who are qualified to remove asbestos
If the asbestos material is shown to be in good condition we will not normally remove it. However we will return to check it if you later become concerned that it has been damaged.
