The communal areas of our housing estates are maintained by our contractors, Streetscene.  During the spring and summer months the communal grassed areas are usually cut every three weeks; however this is dependent on the weather.  Although we don't remove the grass cuttings our gardeners do use mechanical blowers to clear roads and footpaths.

Streetscene also care for our communal flower beds and hedging.  The hedge cutting season usually starts in mid-July, after the birds has finished nesting, and ends around October time.  The autumn and winter months are often spent removing storm damaged and fallen trees.

We get requests from residents to trim trees and collect fallen fruit, nuts and leaves.  This is not a service that we normally provide but we do remove fallen trees, or trees on communal land if they are considered to be dead, dying, dangerous or diseased.
